On February 22, 2025, the South Carolina QSO Party turned the airwaves into our playground! Our club went all in, firing up five stations and putting them to the test. This was the moment we’d all been waiting for—a chance to see if the blood, sweat, and late-night coffee-fueled sessions spent perfecting the shack would pay off. Spoiler alert: they did!

With over 450 contacts scored (that’s a dazzling 51,000+ points for you number lovers) using both voice and FT8 modes, the results spoke louder than our radios. Our trusty trio of permanent antennas rose to the occasion, bolstered by an experimental 15-meter setup and a multi-band vertical, which impressed us so much that it’s set to become a permanent feature as soon as warmer weather rolls in.

The shack was buzzing, and not just with RF! Around 30 folks stopped by to hang out, explore, and even try their hand at operating. The new noise-canceling headsets? Absolute game-changers. Comfort and clarity made for an unbeatable combo. It wasn’t all smooth sailing—because what’s an adventure without a few curve-balls? But every hiccup brought valuable lessons, and we’re already addressing those to make the next outing even stronger. All in all, it was a fantastic day of camaraderie, learning, and sweet success.
